my first acupuncture back pain therapy!

Tuesday evening, i was at the pain specialist today! so the answer to my main question “does
acupuncture hurts? ” is no !!!! i would not say it is a pleasure but it is fine and to be more specific i would say that it is quite strange .
why was the acupuncture session strange? i will explain now :
1/ acupuncture therapy is not logical to the western man the needles are not not necessarily being stuck in the back but in other parts of the body according to other logic that based on the Chinese medicine method .that is why i was so surprised.
2/acupuncture feels like you have some antennas on your skin and streamsams of energy moves along your body.
3/ i didnt tell you yet what happened before he put the needles on me……funny!
so i will start from the beginning: i arrived to the acupuncture clinic, calm music was on and nice , welcoming smell was in the air, acupuncture charts and acupuncture school Certificate a were on the wall . the pain therapist offered me some herbal tea sat in front of me and spoke to me about my condition and options of pain management techniques .
as he explained me the benefits of acupuncture and i chose it from all the pain management treatments he knows ,the next step was examining my pulse and tongue ! he asked me to stick it out of my mouth !!(in chinese medicinetoung condition, color and shape of the tongue can tell a lot about a person inner condition ) and wrote severl notes on his notebook.afterwards he asked some other non usual questions about my life habits and other very personal facts such as my eating habits toilet habits and period symptoms…. things i did not even imagine i will have to talk about.
after all that session came the acupuncture needles part – all ten of them on my body for the next 20 minutes.
that was an experience ! i love it and i saw how serios and proffesional the natural pain therapist was by answering all my questions and calming me down when i was afraid of the acupuncture needles the next session was set not before he gave me specific instructions according to the diagnose he did.i feel well my back is fine .
